Other Activities

Our Founder, Mr. AS Madhavan, has been actively involved in the arena of disaster relief. Be it the Gujarat earthquake, the Tsunami that struck south India, the Kerala Floods or the Kashmir Landslide, we have generated public momentum and support in aid of the victims every time.

Disaster Relief

After the Gujarat earthquake and Tsunami in South India, we went out actively seeking support and donations from the local community. Through our partners and volunteer network, we organized mass collection drives across India for clothes, medicines, utensils, blankets by going from door to door. Community spaces were used for segregation of materials collected. In fact, one of our partners in Sri Lanka chartered a flight exclusively with medicines and blankets.

After the relief work was concluded, we constructed a community hall/health centre at Cuddulore in Tamil Nadu for the benefit of the Tsunami affected people. Even when floods wreaked havoc in Kashmir and landslide caused mayhem in Uttarakhand, we have generated public momentum and support in aid of the victims.

In the aftermath of the Kerala floods, we opened special centres for the flood affected victims until they found a safe place to rebuild their homes and community. We also made arrangements for the flood-affected children of a children’s home, providing them with food, shelter, education and healthcare until they were able to build a self-sustainable model for themselves in the aftermath. Under our re-housing project, we built and handed over 200 houses to Kerala Flood Victims who lost their houses thus re-housing around 10,000 people.

Old Age home and School

In association with organizations such as JanakalyanSevashram, we have set up an old age home where 45 senior citizens are cared for. Located at XXX, the institution is home to XXX seniors who now have a dignified option to spend their sunset years in.

Additionally, in association with the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, we have started a school at Thirunavaya that educates more than 1000 children each year.
